Quick Fire Review: Pachinko Min Jin Lee

I wish I could write a more detailed review but I'm just at a loss for words. This book was easily one of the best ones I read in 2018. It was an immensely satisfying read. I'm a sucker for historical fiction and family saga so Pachinko is right up my alley. I couldn't even write a lengthy review because I'm still recovering. Three things:

1. Rich imagery of Korea and Japan in the early 1900s to the late 80s
2. Strong characters that will definitely take root in you
3. Underlying themes that are still relevant in the world today

Do yourself a favor and pick up this book. Oh, and prepare a sacrificial lamb for after. It will be hard to think of your next read.
